Together At Last!

Hello again lovely blog friends!!! I just want to say how thankful I am for all of your lovely comments, positive thoughts, prayers, and support while my soldier was serving in Afghanistan...and I have some VERY exciting news to report!!!! Nathaniel made it home safely to me on June 1st!!! I can't describe to anyone what the past 7 months have been like (unless of course you have been through this too). It's truly the hardest thing I have gone through. Worrying everyday and waiting and hoping not to get a knock on the door. I can't tell you how many times a door-to-door salesperson came to my front door and caused my heart to sink to the pit of my stomach. I think I kind of went into a "mental zone" in order to cope and get by....but it worked and although I took 7 months off of doing the things I usually love, I'm happy to say life is feeling great again! Here are some pictures of our reunion....the best feeling!!! Bear in mind it was 4am and I was fighting strep throat (yes...great timing to get sick hey?)...but I wasn't going to let that stop me from smiling ear to ear!!!

As overjoyed as I am to have my husband home safe again I want to also remember those who paid the ultimate price for our freedoms. My husband lost 5 good friends on this tour. We will miss you guys...and we will never forget.
